Prof. Dr.Ihsan Ali, Vice-Chancellor, AWKUM  and Mr. Muhammad Pervez, Lecturer in Management Sciences, AWKUM held a meeting on January 6, 2012 with the Deputy Vice Chancellor and staff Coventry University UK.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of training for teaching and academic staff of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. It was agreed in the meeting that the possibilities of fulltime as well as split Ph.D programmes will be worked out by Coventry and a proposal in this connection will be signed between the two institutions after mutual consultation within three (3) weeks’ time. It was also decided that a reasonable discount in tuition fee will be offered by Coventry University to the scholars of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The meeting agreed that further visits of academics and International Officers between the two institutions will be arranged in future to further strengthen the academic bond between collaborating institutions.
